The hood is made longer by removing the black stripe below the windshield, and the recessed sections on the sides also extend to the front. Volkswagen improved the aerodynamics around the front wheels, which is called the "air curtain". The taillights are in two parts and are fully illuminated for the first time.

Interior: The interior of the new ID.3 is a combination of modern design and sustainable materials. Precise stitching in a contrasting color makes it feel super quality. In addition, the interior equipment is completely free of materials of animal origin! Many customer suggestions were also taken into account to improve the product and the standard equipment package. Soft foam-infused surfaces on the dashboard create a new tactile experience. The interior door trims have also been upgraded and have larger and smoother surfaces.

Smart Connect: Charging is easier than ever with the new ID.3 thanks to Plug & Charge, where the car authenticates itself and starts the charging process when the cable is connected to a charging station, and Route Planner! smart electric vehicle! On longer journeys, the electric vehicle Route Planner calculates charging stops so that the destination can be reached as quickly as possible. It also detects charging stations that are busy and doesn't suggest them in the first place! Points of interest can be transferred to the car using the free We Connect ID app.

Modern and intuitive operating concept: The new ID.3 incorporates the latest generation of software. This improves system performance and you can receive wireless updates! The compact instrument panel incorporates a screen with a diagonal measurement of 13.4 centimeters (5.3 inches) that is operated from the multifunction steering wheel. The touch screen is now standard and is 30.5 centimeters (12 inches).
