Toyota Land Cruiser 2024: Goodbye to traditional pedals!

The Toyota Land Cruiser Renaissance: Tradition, Innovation, and 4x4 Leadership

The Toyota Land Cruiser stands out as a true icon in the off-road world. With roots dating back to the 1950s, this iconic vehicle shares honors with heavyweights like the Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender, and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The most recent versions, particularly the 2021, have elevated the Land Cruiser above other Toyota SUVs, offering greater comfort, space, and outstanding off-road capabilities. Although it hasn't been long, Toyota surprises us with an evolution of the Land Cruiser that, at the same time, seems to pay homage to its roots. With a design that combines robustness and nostalgia, this new Land Cruiser is reinvented with current technology, aspiring to consolidate itself, once again, as the undisputed leader among 4x4s.

At the recent Japan Mobility Show, Toyota unveiled the 2024 Land Cruiser. However, this isn't the traditional model we're used to. Its most notable feature is the elimination of the classic round steering wheel, replaced by what Toyota has dubbed "NEO Steer."

This innovative design, inspired by motorcycle handlebars, incorporates acceleration and braking controls directly into the yoke-shaped steering wheel, thus eliminating the need for conventional pedals.
